Applications of robotics in floating offshore wind farm operations and maintenance: Literature review and trends

Abstract Marine operations required to transfer technicians and equipment represent a significant proportion of the total cost offshore wind. The profile sites being considered for floating wind farms (FOWFs), e.g., further from shore in harsher environments, indicates that these costs need be assessed by taking into account maintenance requirements restricted weather windows. There is an immediate investigate potential use robotic systems farm's (O&M) activities, reduce costly manned visits. can critical, not only replace repetitive activities bring down levelised energy but also health safety risks supporting human operators performing desired inspections.
